Be Careful Of What You Say || The Tongue is Powerful Enough To Grant Your Wish
There is a word that people say: Be careful of what you wish for or something like that. In my case, I didn’t wish for anything but wanted to lie about something and it came to past. So let me share with you the story of what happened.

After my Friday exam, I have been thinking how I would cover studying my remaining courses during the weekend because my weekend is always spent with church activities. For instance, on Saturdays, I go to choir rehearsals from 10am (which is when I leave my home) and get back home from the rehearsals by 6am. Then on Sundays, I leave for church by 5am in the morning and get home by 1pm in the afternoon.
After telling my friends about how my weekends are spent, they told me not to go to church and I should skip this week. Immediately, I said NO, that I cannot do that as I am placed as an important member in the choir since I play the guitar. Ever since my conversation with them, I had been thinking that not going to church would give me the perfect amount of time to cover what I need to cover but at the same time, what excuse would I give for not being present.
Then the perfect excuse came in, “I am not feeling fine”. I knew if I was to report not feeling fine, they would understand and let me pass. Then on Saturday morning, I woke up as early as 2am to study. While reading, I started feeling somehow in my body; weak, hot, and shivering. By 7am, I could not take it reading again because my situation had complicated, in fact my tongue was already tasting bitter. Then I knew that the excuse I wanted to give for not going to church is coming to reality. I began to wish I never thought of “I am not feeling fine” as an excuse not to be in church.
This proves that no matter jokingly or unconsciously you say something, the tongue has a way of bringing it to past. Now, I wonder so many things that I have said jokingly which are not good. I definitely hope they don’t come to past.
So, if you are reading this article, you should be careful of what you say. They may end up coming reality. Today, I would be visiting the school clinic to check up on myself so that matters would not be complicated.
