The first site I visited today is located at Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria. Yesterday, they called to have an issue with their elevator and explained the doors of the elevator was not properly closing. So we had to journey over there first to help solve the problem.

The picture below is the place we visited. It was taken in haste as we were in a hurry to finish up and leave for the next assignment. We had spent over 3hours to get there so we had no time left to waste.

So, after checking out the lift, we figured there was a problem with the landing door of the ground floor.

If what I said above is quite confusing then I think you should know that an elevator has its own doors which is often referred as the car door while the embodiment of the elevator is referred as the car. Each floor of a building having an elevator has its own doors. So the door of those floors are referred as landing doors.

Next is the adjustment of the door contact to make sure the doors closes properly. In the picture below, spanner 13 was used for the necessary adjustments.

After the adjustments, the door was closing properly. We had to check if it was okay on other doors as well, so we checked and found floor 5 had similar issue and was treated the same way the ground floor was.

Thereafter, the whole activity was written down in the companies logbook held by the facility manager of the building.

Next on, we move to the next point of duty. We are to perform a routine maintenance duty on the elevator of a building not far away from the former.

Below are some of the pictures I took there

The building/area is quite a beautiful one and peaceful. No form of noise, everywhere is cool unlike other parts of Lagos.

In the picture above, I am in the shaft of the elevator and had already started the maintenance session which includes checking the door contacts, the oil level in the oil pot, door tracks and others.

So, that's all for now. I hope you understood all that i have put down. Thank you for reading through 🤗
