Value is relative, and so is the way people see our worth. Everyone has a different way of valuing a substance; this is determined by how important that substance is or by knowing how useful such a substance can be.

A substance, for instance, a drink, can have different values depending on the location you find the drink. Let's take Coca-Cola, for instance, in Nigeria Coca-Cola is about $0.3, but in the United States, it is about $2. We can see that the value of Coca-Cola differs from when it is in Nigeria to when it is in the US.

I would like you to imagine the scenario as one trying to sell cooked meat in a town full of vegetarians. I bet that the seller may not sell at all or may likely sell it for a very cheap price, since it is in an environment where eating meat is not appreciated.

Also, we should also try to be of value to our environment. Sometimes one maybe too focused on building a skill that has no importance or effect on the environment, which would later be of no use because we have no way to make value from it. So it is best to identify problems in your immediate environment and how best they can be solved. Doing this would make you a valuable person in the environment.
