VENTURING INTO WEB DEVELOPMENT || BUILDING MY FIRST PORTFOLIO WEBSITE

I have always wanted to own a computer skill and never knew where and when to start but this time, I took a big move a month ago. I started learning Frontend Development and building my skill in HTML and CSS. At first, it was not easy, my brain was scattered, and pushing myself to keep studying while having other stuff doing was hard.

Now I am getting to understand things better, getting to enjoy watching tutorials, and spending time studying and coding. I am not perfect or good to any degree yet but to a pretty much beginner level, I can say I am doing well.

I just have to keep motivating myself since the only way to move forward here is by motivation. There have been some times that I have felt down and really angry at myself for not understanding a thing or two and during those times, I felt like giving up but you know what, they gave me sleepless nights. I am always thinking about it and standing up from bed in the middle of the night towards my computer to watch a tutorial or try a code.

One of the reasons why I have been pretty much inactive off Hive, asides from being sick these past few weeks, is that I have been spending a lot of time learning how to code. Right now, I am building my first portfolio website and I would love to share some images.

Although a portfolio website does not have a login or register page, I just had to do it so I can learn how to style my page alongside. What I still have left to learn is how to make this page I built responsive on all media devices. Although I made use of flexbox for most of them, so we can say they are a bit responsive but there still need some things that have to be done.

My coming blog, I would be sharing how I made my navigation bar and some of the things I did here. I would be explaining them on my blog and mostly in this community. I need a place to keep my thoughts and findings I believe blogging about them would make them stick to my head and also document them as well.

If you want to view this drawing on your PC, then you can find it here: https://myportfolio.emmanuelpopoola.repl.co

Note: It would not have a great view if viewed from a mobile device. I am yet to make it responsive to mobile device. Also do not mind the border line, I have removed it if you check from the link above.
