As much as the media is important in communications, and in business, how much of an impact is social media (the media in general) to the environment. From the recent happenings around me, it has got me thinking on how much of a impact it is to our society, is it more of an advantage or disadvantage.

On the media, wither television programs, movies, or social media information can be picked up consciously or not even intent and they have a way in which they effect us. Nowadays these information can be easily accessed by anyone even our young kids of nowadays. We are in the age where everyone no matter the age have direct access to the internet and can even know what the trend is about.

Talking about trends, what do you we have in our trends?

Are they stuff that really matter or stuffs that really add to our personal development. For my country, What mostly trend are things that are useless, and does not anyway bring value to one's life. You see people getting popular or trending for the wrong reasons.

Coming down strictly to social media

This aspect alone is filled with stuffs that are of no value. Though, not all of them but when you see the trends in social media, these contents are always not appealing to people of all ages. The trends are always of things relating to sexual content mostly.

Come to think of it, most of the popular comedy skit makers are popular because of the sexual contents they display on their videos. Yet, knowing these contents are accessible to people of all ages.

It's time for me to come out plain now; This post is written in pain of the news trending in Nigeria right now of kids about 10 years of age having sex at school and right now, I am like hell! when I was at the age of 15 I didn't know what kissing is not to even talk of as far as having sexual intercourse.

Now my thought is, who are we to blame for this?

We all have a hand in this... The social media nowadays is too corrupt, some of the music we hear nowadays talks about sex and what else, not having any meaning adding or building up a person. This is one reason why I restricted myself to listen to certain kinds of music because of I am trying to prevent my beautiful mind from being more damaged than it has already been by what we have everywhere.

Yeah, I am not admitting to be pure myself, but with what we have everywhere, it hard to say anybody who is partially active on to these media has not been one way or the other been effected. Now, I am left in pity how it may be for the future generations to come!
